An MBA is an important investment in time and money. While tuition and room and board can be cost-prohibitive for many African applicants, various funding opportunities exist for candidates with the right profiles.

STANFORD AFRICA MBA FELLOWSHIP

Up to $150,000

This fellowship pays for tuition and associated fees (approximately US $150,000) for citizens of African countries with financial need who wish to obtain an MBA at Stanford GSB.

INSEAD AFRICA LEADERSHIP FUND

€ 50,000

Candidates must be a national of an African country and have spent a substantial part of their lives, and received part of their prior education in Africa. Preference is given to candidates who reside in the region.

INSEAD NELSON MANDELA SCHOLARSHIP

€ 20,000

Candidates must be a national of an African country and have spent a substantial part of their lives, and received part of their prior education in Africa. Preference is given to candidates who reside in the region.

INSEAD OLAM SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CHANGE CATALYSTS

€ 73,000

Candidates must be nationals of Sub-Saharan Africa, regardless of their current country of residence; and must be committed to working in their home country or region.

MASTERCARD FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Varies

Scholars receive full or partial financial support to pursue their education. In addition to financial support, scholars partake in extracurricular activities skills training for leadership and career success.
