Across leading technology ecosystems in Africa, technology continues to positively affect the way that people live and work. A variety of mobile communication devices can be found in nearly every corner of the continent, and urban teenagers’ smartphones are constantly lighting up with message exchanges across popular apps and platforms. Behind the scenes, massive investments in infrastructure have allowed for cheaper and more reliable data connections, and entrepreneurs are battling for their share of the continent’s greenfield markets. That said, there are significant differences in how individual African countries are promoting and experiencing the proliferation of technology and innovation.
